Oliver has a strong empathy for motivated business leaders and teams, and he is passionate about supporting them. In coaching, Oliver applies his broad experience and knowledge of successful leadership and management combined with an evidence-based mindset to build a deep understanding of his clients’ situations and goals, thereby helping them to identify and follow through with appropriate courses of action for going forward. Aside from coaching in his general Practice Areas, Oliver offers coaching specifically in the realm of corporate sustainability, ESG and business transformation (Focus Areas) as well as in the mining industry context. With Oliver, clients will have someone who is on their side with unconditional positive regard, but does not sugarcoat; someone, who challenges them to intently strive towards their own understanding of excellence and satisfaction.

Oliver was born in Germany but has been living and working overseas for the more than 25 years. He is a qualified lawyer and, starting in the early 1990ies, practiced commercial and corporate law in the Middle East for over a decade. His clients included primarily blue chips from Europe, Asia, North America and South Africa. In 2005, Oliver seized the opportunity to change career and joined a renowned global sports brand as their CEO for the Middle East holding full P&L responsibility for the brand’s business in the region. His responsibility expanded over time expanding to the African continent. Oliver attributes his own leadership success to his ability to develop and empower extraordinary teams and individuals in his organization.

​Oliver believes in lifelong learning and took up coaching originally to enhance his own leadership style. He has continued to develop and hone his coaching skills since then. He received formal coaching education from the Institute of Counselling (Glasgow, UK), completed the Business Coaching Advantage Certification ProgramTM (Toronto, Canada) and has the distinctions of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), holds the ICF Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC) and is a Registered Corporate CoachTM (RCCTM) by the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (WABCTM).  Oliver also holds a doctorate in law (Dr. iur) and a master's degree in business administration (MBA) with an emphasis on corporate sustainability management.

Oliver is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), a non-profit organization and the leading global organization for coaches and coaching dedicated to advancing the coaching profession as well as a professional member of the Center for Evidence-Based Management (CEBMa), an independent non-profit organization and a leading authority on evidence-based practice in the field of management and leadership.

Aside from his coaching practice, Oliver is adjunct faculty at an university campus in Dubai teaching Strategic Vision and Leadership.

Oliver lives in Dubai together with his wife and two teenage children. Outside of his work he enjoys spending time with his family and pets, doing sports, and travelling on and off beaten tracks.
